Synergy Hair and Beauty was born in 2000, the salon has grown and developed over the years and retains the original core values set by its owner Sarah Ulyett. These core values are to deliver an affordable luxury service in a stylish and beautiful environment and to ensure that you have the most fabulous experience each and every visit.

Meet the Team
I started hairdressing at 16 as an apprentice, working my way up senior stylist and eventually manager. Undertaking my NVQ levels two and three in hairdressing as well as several private courses in London. Teaching is also a passion and I help to train the salon's assistants to achieve their goals. I am as passionate today as when I started and specialises in cutting and colouring, ensuring every client, male or female receives a look that suits.
I have been working at Synergy for over 10 years and know the salon inside out. I am here to look after all your booking needs from wedding preparation packages to private salon party takeovers nothing is too much trouble and I will always go the extra mile to make your experience unforgettable. I can also advise which stylist will be best to look after your needs and which services and products will be best to achieve your desired look. I manage the salon marketing, events and assist Sarah the salon owner with stock management and day to day running of the salon.
I started at Synergy hair and beauty 16 years ago as an apprentice hairdresser completing me NVQ level 2 and 3. After many years of training and salon experience I have worked my way up to style director. I have completed courses at the Sassoon academy in London which has given me my skill set for precision cutting and restyles. I also love all types of colouring especially a good set of foils, I'm passionate about a good weave!! Out of work I love to spend some quality time with my husband and our beautiful little girl. Always on the lookout for our next adventure (on the beach).
I started my Hairdressing journey at Synergy in 2009 as an apprentice.I became inspired to become a hairdresser after being a model for a hair competition. After seeing behind the scenes and how much passion and creativity was involved I knew I had to be a hairdresser.In my carrier so far I have gained so much, in the first few years I achieved my level 2 &3 and then went on to get the assessors award qualification so I could start to pass on my skills to our assistant team. With support from the salon I have been able to do a number of different courses to gain experience in the areas I love most. Including intense training at the Sassoon academy in London and at wella studios in Manchester. I have taken the opportunities to take part in photo shoots and competitions such as wella trendvison.I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but I especially love colour and cutting along with wedding hair and styling.My aim as a hairdresser is to make sure all of my client’s look and feel fantastic.I look forward to seeing you in the salon soon.
I started working at Synergy hair and beauty 10 years ago as an assistant who had completed their level 2. I went on to complete my level 3 and become a stylist. After many trips to the Sassoon Academy London, Wella academy Manchester, numerous in salon training sessions and many years on the salon floor I achieved my promotion to become a Lead Stylist. I have also completed my assessor's award which involves me training up the next generation of hairdresser's to become the best they can be. I love colouring and being as creative as my clients allow me to be. A big achievement for me is making in though to the regional finals of the Wella trend vision competition 3 times, I get a real buzz from creating photoshoot looks which are also wearable for my clients. Out of work I love spending time with my family and dog we love to travel and visit new places and experience new things.
I am a lead stylist and have been working with Synergy for 8 years. I have been in hairdressing for 50 years and love looking after my loyal client base and enjoying time with the lovely team I work with. I really enjoy all aspects of classic styling, perming and setting. My hobbies include cooking, eating out, gardening and holidays.
I'm Kerri and I started working in a salon at the age of 14. I have since worked hard to become a stylist and have been at Synergy for 3 years where I am now a Senior Stylist. I joined Synergy to take my skills to the next level and I feel I have done just that. I have accomplished so much since working here. In 2017 I made it through to the wella trendvision regional final and spent a week in London at the sasoon training academy learning all about cutting. In 2018 I made it through to the wella generation now auditions in manchester. I have now completed my assessors qualification to teach the next generation of stylists a thing or two. I have a passion for colour and cutting and I love a bouncy blow-dry. I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing from kerastraight services to a modern perm. I have a range of skills to suit your needs and you will leave with a smile on your face and with a happy head of hair.
I started at Synergy hair and beauty when I was still at high school, working on a Saturday and after school. I became full time completing my NVQ level 2 hairdressing and NVQ level 2 barbering. Working my way from an assistant to now a Senior Stylist. I have gained my assessors award recently which means I am more involved with training assistants to complete their level 2. As a stylist I have continual training with Wella, GHD and the Sassoon academy. I love having the opportunity to expand my knowledge and experience to progress in my career. I get lots of my inspiration from Vidal Sassoon. Following them on social media and keeping up to date. My favourite part of hairdressing is Wedding hair in which I am a specialist for the salon. I love the build up to being part of my client’s special day.I also excel in creative, precision cutting for both ladies and gents.In my spare my time I love been outdoors and going for long walks. Finishing at the pub with a cheeky Slingsby gin!
I have fantastic new ideas to inspire you and make you look and feel fantastic. I’ve been at Synergy for 6 and a half years, I came straight from school and have worked my way up to a stylist. I have completed my level 2 and level 3 hairdressing along with my level 2 barbering. In 2018 I got through to trend vision regional final in which I was 1 of 6 in the male grooming category, I had to go to Manchester and take part in a catwalk show and presentation of my work. I have also been to the Sassoon Academy in London and have taken part in the abc course and the salon creative’s course. I love doing short ladies hair cuts and gents hair cuts as well as creative colouring and perming. I love going to music festivals and doing more creative festivals hair, you can never have enough glitter in your life. I have been inspired by Vidal sassoon, Luke Benson, kristof pacura.
I have been a beauty therapist for 20 years. I previously worked as a senior therapist for a busy Harrogate salon. After having my three children I stated working at Synergy 2 years as part of the reception team where I have enjoyed welcoming clients and making their experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. I have increasingly been offering more beauty treatments to our clients and specialize in Gelish manicure and pedicures, LVL lashes, Nouveau lash extensions, eye brow shaping/threading and all waxing and tinting treatment's. I am looking forward to continuing my progressing in the industry with more courses in the future.
I have been working at Synergy since I left school and love being part of such a fun and vibrant team. I have dreamed of becoming a hairdresser since primary school and know that I will become the best stylist I can be learning from all the skills of the fantastic team at Synergy hair and Beauty. I am hoping to qualify in my NVQ level 2 shortly and have also completed my Synergy colour test! I love meeting all the clients and am passionate about giving the best service every visit from a shampoo to a deluxe service.
I have been working at Synergy since leaving school and am currently finishing my NVQ Level 2 qualification and have recently passed my Synergy Hair and Beauty colour test so am now assisting the stylist with colours on the salon floor which I really enjoy. I am also assisting the more experienced stylists with wedding hair and I love looking after clients helping them relax with a deluxe treatment upgrade.
I have been working at Synergy since moving up to Yorkshire from the south coast of Dorset in 2018. I am about to graduate in my NVQ level 2 hairdressing qualification and have already passed my Synergy colour test which means I am assisting Stylists by applying colours in the salon . I love a challenge and really enjoy all the training opportunity's we have at Synergy.
I started work at Synergy in 2018 after 1 year studying beauty I soon realised my passion was to do hair. I love working in the busy fun salon environment and interacting with our varied client base. I am working though my NVQ level 2 and enjoy all aspects of hairdressing but particularly love letting my creative juices flow with hair up styling.
I am currently working hard to qualify in the my NVQ level 1 and 2. I love working in a busy salon environment and especially carrying out the Deluxe treatments in our private area as I feel I really get the chance to help advise clients on their hair care routine and give them chance to de-stress with our lovely massage rituals.
